Air India has partnered with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Delhi International Airport (DIAL) to enhance the travel experience for international passengers with bag drop and check-in facilities for international flights. The airline now offers convenient check-in and baggage drop-off service at two major Delhi Metro stations: New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium.

This initiative, which expands the already existing service for domestic travelers, allows international passengers to check in their luggage at these metro stations. This service is intended for travelers outside the station, so they can explore the city without the burden of their luggage. Once checked in, the baggage is safely transferred to the aircraft using advanced automated systems set up by DMRC and DIAL.

The new facility is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. For domestic flights, passengers can check in their luggage between 12 hours and 2 hours before departure. For international flights, the check-in window is between 4 hours and 2 hours before departure.
“Our partnership with DMRC and DIAL demonstrates our commitment to providing a seamless and enhanced travel experience for our passengers,” said Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer, Air India. “This initiative provides a cost-effective solution for travelers arriving from remote locations and helps reduce airport congestion, leading to a smoother experience for all our customers. In addition to other technological developments such as DigiYatra and automatic baggage drop machines at airport terminals, service significantly improves the convenience and satisfaction of our customers.”The Delhi Metro, with a frequency of every 10 minutes, ensures a fast and hassle-free journey, taking just 19 minutes takes to reach the departure level at Delhi Airport Terminal 3.
