Air India is strengthening its presence in Europe with additional flights to Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Milan to meet growing demand. From June 22, 2024, Air India will operate daily non-stop flights from Delhi to Amsterdam Schiphol and Delhi to Milan Malpensa, increasing the frequency on these key routes from 4x per week and 5x per week respectively. Moreover, Air India will add another flight on the Delhi-Copenhagen route, increasing the frequency to 5x per week from July 1, 2024.

These additional flights will complement Air India’s existing daily, non-stop services to Zurich from June 16, 2024, as well as daily services to Frankfurt and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). This expansion aims to improve inbound and outbound passenger traffic and freight flows between India and Europe.

Campbell Wilson, CEO and MD of Air India, spoke about the importance of this expansion in the airline’s global route network. He said: “The increased frequency to Europe reflects the growing demand for travel between India and Europe, and we aim to provide more choice and convenience to our customers.”
Wilson added: “These new flights will not only strengthen trade and tourism ties, but also provide seamless connectivity to travelers from Europe to other countries in the Indian subcontinent and South East Asia through our hub in Delhi.” With the increased frequency to Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Milan, Air India will now operate 80 flights per week to and from seven points in mainland Europe, including Amsterdam Schiphol, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Milan Malpensa, Paris CDG, Vienna and Zurich.

All flights to mainland Europe will be operated on Air India’s two-class configured Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, with 18 flat beds in Business Class and 236 spacious seats in Economy.
