Just under a month after announcing his next album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce),” Eminem has revealed that his first single “Houdini” will be released this Friday.

In a post on Instagram, the rapper FaceTimes with magician David Blaine and asks him for “help with something.” “I wondered: how far can we go with this magic? Like, can we do a stunt or something?’ Em asks Blaine, who drinks a glass of wine and then bites off the rim of that glass. “Well, for my last trick, I’m going to make my career disappear,” Em says, leaving the conversation.

Little is known about Eminem’s twelfth studio album, which he said would be released this summer. “Houdini” is said to be the first offering, and a short clip of the instrumental seemingly plays at the end of the Instagram clip.

Although Em has kept the details for ‘The Death of Slim Shady’ secret, his longtime collaborator and mentor Dr. Dre released a few details earlier this year. In March, Dre went on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” where he revealed that Eminem was working on a new album. He also said that he contributed to several songs on the project, and that he planned to hear the album for the first time the day after his TV appearance.

In April, Em announced “The Death of Slim Shady” with a teaser for a Detroit Murder Files crime show that aired during the NFL Draft. Earlier this month, he published a fake obituary in the Detroit Free Press to say goodbye to Slim Shady, who was his longtime alter ego.
