High-flying Essendon will be hoping to do what no team has done in 2024 and hand Gold Coast a defeat at home to close out Round 12.

The Suns (6-5, 108.2%) have won all their games this season in a friendly atmosphere, either on the Gold Coast or in Darwin, with an average winning margin of more than five goals. (They technically lost a ‘home’ game in the Gather Round, even though that was a neutral venue.)

The Bombers (8-2-1, 104.4%) haven’t lost in nearly two months, although their current four-game winning streak has included three games against a bottom-four team.
