‘The View’ co-host Sunny Hostin ‘felt like America won’ when Trump was convicted

But for Hostin it was a purely joyful moment. “I was at my daughter’s high school graduation…I didn’t feel down,” she said. “I felt like the Knicks won the tournament! I felt like America had won! I felt like New York had won! I felt that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office had won! It felt like I had won!”

Alyssa Farah Griffinwho served as White House director of strategic communications under the Trump administration, tempered Hostin’s happiness with a warning about the future.

“Knowing Donald Trump personally, there is something in him that thinks he is untouchable and will get away with anything. Even though this was the likely outcome, I don’t think he thought it was coming,” she explained. “He is going to do and say absolutely everything he can to get elected, so buckle up because anger and retaliation await.”
