Dead by Daylight has had a Dungeons & Dragons chapter in the works for a while now, and we can expect to see more on May 14.
For now, they’ve released a small teaser video showing a cage in a dungeon. As the camera zooms in closer a monster known as a Beholder charges the bars and roars. You can check it out below.

Beholders are magically-gifted and intelligent monsters with eyestalks that allow them to shoot different magical beams at their prey, which would help them fit in with the increasingly complicated killer powers in Dead by Daylight (seriously, what’s up with the The Unknown shooting weird fear goo?)
It’s technically not confirmed that the killer will be a Beholder, despite its appearance in the teaser. Ever since the crossover was announced, fans of Dungeons & Dragons had speculated enemies ranging from the evil deities Vecna and Lolth, to more mundane monsters like an Owlbear.
Last year, D&D made headlines for trying to make changes to its Open Game License (OGL) and deny access to basic play materials which allow for a vibrant homebrew and third party scene.
Dead by Daylight is available now on Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Android, and iOS. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
