Former Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA boss Priya Dogra has joined Comcast-owned Sky in the newly created role of Chief Advertising and new Revenue Officer.

At Sky, Dogra will report to Sky’s chief business officer Nick Herm and sit on Sky’s executive management committee. She will work closely with Rett Aumuller, Sky Media’s managing director, as they grow the advertising sales division, develop non-subscription revenue streams and build long-term relationships with Sky’s partners.

Dogra, who spent 14 years at WBD, left the company last summer, just a year after the merger of Discovery and WarnerMedia. She had previously held a similar senior role at WarnerMedia, which also covered Asia (excluding China).

After her departure, EMEA management was told to report directly to Gerhard Zeiler, Warner Bros. Discovery president of International.

“I am pleased to welcome Priya to Sky,” said Nick Herm, Chief Business Officer of Sky. “Priya brings a wealth of operational and strategic experience in the media industry, and her proven track record of success, together with our history of innovation, will be integral in driving growth areas for Sky , as we continue to connect our customers to more of what they love.”

Dogra added: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at Sky who I have had the pleasure of working with over the years. Sky is at the forefront of delivering best-in-class consumer experiences across entertainment and connectivity and I’m excited to be part of driving future innovation. I look forward to working with our many partners to deliver innovative brand solutions and monetization through linear and digital video.”

Warner and Sky have long had a close relationship in Britain, thanks in no small part to Sky’s long-standing HBO output deal, which sees hit shows like ‘House of the Dragon’ and ‘Succession’ exclusively on Sky platforms in the UK were broadcast.
